The Crawford Model 1 is made from Japanese 4034 Stainless and is hollow ground to a thin, razor edge that will cut at the slightest touch. And, because a "flipper" is integrated into the tang, it can be opened lightning fast! The handle of the Crawford Model 1 is made from a strong (yet economical), glass reinforced nylon that includes traction rubber inlays, and a low-profile pocket clip.
To keep your fingers safe from potential harm, Cold Steel has equipped the Crawford 1 with a leaf spring lock, and a (patent pending) secondary safety mechanism that, when engaged is extremely resistant to shock and impact.
Designed by Wes Crawford, and based on his custom folder, the Cold Steel Crawford Model 1 is a sturdy flipper. It’s a well-built knife with a fairly thin profile that makes it surprisingly pocket friendly. Features a 3.5” 4034 stainless-steel saber clip point blade with 0.13” blade thickness and a hollow grind that’s razor sharp straight out of the box. The saber clip point has plenty of material reinforcing the tip which reduces the odds of a broken tip when properly used. The action on this knife is smooth and easy. It also has a substantial thumb ramp for increased security in a variety of grips.
The black glass-reinforced nylon handles have textured green rubberized inlays for a perfect grip. It locks in place with Cold Steel’s Spring Lock, which functions like a liner lock. It also has a secondary slide safety slide for that extra touch of security while using the knife.
